According to information, the United States Military has stated that, an MQ9 Reaper drone was taken down in international waters after colliding with an Russian Su-27 fighter jet over the Black Sea.
And further the US Air Force General James Hecker who is the head of the US Air Forces Europe and as well as the Air Forces Africa also told, “our MQ 9 aircraft was performing routine operations in international airspace when it was detected and shot by a Russian jet fighter, resulting in a crash and complete loss of the MQ-9”.Â
In fact, he added that, the Russian reckless and careless actions almost resulted in the destruction of both aircrafts. The Black Sea is surrounded by a number of countries, notably Russia and Ukraine, between Europe and Asia.
As per John Kirby, a White House official, President Joe Biden has received an report on this incident. This interceptions, which Kirby described that as, it was found flying repeatedly in front of MQ-9.
And also the United States Military added that, it was not only careless and irresponsible act of flying repeatedly in front of MQ-9, but they also lacked skill and thus led to the downing of an American aircraft.Â
