World’s Largest Trees In DANGER!

Some of the world’s largest trees are giant sequoias. The biggest is over 11 metres (36 feet) in diameter at the base and stands 83 metres (275 feet) tall.

They are among the oldest living things on Earth due to their unusually extended life spans of up to 3,000 years.

The greatest grove of gigantic sequoias in Yosemite National Park is under threat from a wildfire that is spreading through California.

Over the past 24 hours, the Washburn Fire has more than doubled in size, and it is currently thought to have consumed 1,591 acres.

Some of the oldest and biggest redwood trees in the world are being protected by firefighters who are battling fires in challenging terrain.

Residents and campers near to the fire have been evacuated, and the area’s poor air quality and picturesque views of the park have both been hampered by the dense smoke.

At least 500 huge sequoias in the Mariposa Grove, including the renowned Grizzly Giant, which is estimated to be approximately 3,000 years old, are under threat from the fire, which broke out on July 7.

None of them have been completely damaged by the fire as of yet.

The Yosemite fire and aviation management agency said it was “proactively protecting” the grove by eliminating possible fuels from the area and installing a sprinkler system to improve humidity around the trees.

Nearly 1,600 people have already had to leave the region due to the Washburn Fire, including the Wawona town inside the national park and hundreds of campers who were camping nearby Wawona.

Investigations into the fire’s source continue. According to fire authorities, the warm, dry weather is making it challenging to contain the fires.

Trees in danger means that an important part of our lives and we people have to save it at any cost as cutting it down is not a positive way of doing it and constructing buildings is ok but let us take planting seriously as next generation can atleast see anicient trees or even trees in that sense
