According to Reports, Chinese forces will travel to Russia, the Chinese defence ministry said on Wednesday, to take part in a joint exercise with Russia and other countries like India, Belarus, and Tajikistan.
China’s involvement in the joint drills, according to a statement from the ministry, is “irrelevant to the current international and regional circumstances”.
Taiwan’s Defence Ministry claimed that on Wednesday, 21 Chinese aircraft and five Chinese vessels had been sighted flying over the vicinity of Taiwan as Beijing continued its military drills near to the island. It was reported that five planes flew over the median line of the Taiwan Strait, which often acts as a barrier between the two sides.
The drills China revealed on Wednesday are a part of the ongoing annual bilateral cooperation agreement, as per Defence Ministry. China recently took part in similar joint training that were directed by Russia.
They stated that, the goal is to promote friendly and constructive cooperation with the armies of participating nations, enhance the level of joint collaboration among the parties involved, and improve the capacity to respond to various security threats”.
