According to reports, as stated by Japanese Ministry, North Korea continued its testing of weapons aimed to hit vital locations close to US allies on Tuesday by launching an intermediate-range range ballistic missiles over Japan.
This is North Korea’s most significant missile test since testing an intermediate-range missile known as the  Hwasong-12 in January that was capable of hitting Guam in the US. A North Korean missiles has also flown over Japan for the first time since 2017 on this occasion. As per Japanese Prime Minister’s office at least one of the missiles fired from North Korea is believed to have fallen in the Pacific Ocean after flying over Japan.
For the first time after 2017, Japanese authorities declared  “J-alert” recommending residents in the northeast to find safety in nearby buildings. Upon a government warning that the North Korean missile seemed to have fallen in the Pacific, trains in Japan’s Hokkaido and Aomori regions were temporarily suspended until normal operations were resumed.
Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida further said that, the firing, which followed a recent spate of launches by North Korea, was a careless act that he strongly opposed. He promised to talk with members of the National Security Council.
Thus, Japanese Chief Cabinet Secretary Hirokazu Matsuno, stated that, there have not yet been any preliminary reports of damage as a result of the North’s missile launch. He said that after a 22 minutes flight, the missile touched down outside of the country’s exclusive economic zone.
