According to information, former Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti was renominated by US President Joe Biden to represent him in India. The US Senators will approve him this time, as per the White House Senate.
“Eric M. Garcetti, of California will be the Plenipotentiary of the United States of America to the Republic of India and Ambassador Extraordinary”, the White House declared after submitting the nomination to the Senate.
The White House will begin renominating candidates who were not affirmed in the last Congress. As Secretary of State Tony Blinken recently stated that, “our relationship with India is crucial and consequential”, White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre.
Further, the officials said that, the confirmation of Mayor Garcetti, whose appointment as ambassador to India had strong bipartisan support and unanimous committee approval. Furthermore, it is important that we debate bipartisanship and the way forward because it facilitates progress.

She replied that, “As a result, we think Mayor Garcetti is qualified to hold this crucial post, and we expect the full Senate will quickly approve him. Jean-Pierre further added that, he received strong bipartisan support once again, and the committee overwhelmingly voted him out.
