“The infamous volcano ‘SHARK VOLCANO’ might get erupt soon, currently in active phase”: NASA

An undersea volcano that is home to sharks has reached an active phase of eruption, according to NASA.
Kavachi is an underwater volcano located south of Vangunu Island on Solomon Island in the southwest Pacific Ocean.
It is also known as ‘Rejo te Kavachi’ and is named after a sea god of the New Georgia Group islanders.
In 2015, marine fauna was discovered dwelling inside Kavachi’s crater, making it famous. According to researchers, the scalloped hammerhead, silky shark, and sixgill stingray all call the volcano home.

NASA satellites recorded discoloured water around Kavachi Volcano on a number of days in April and May, sparking concerns about the volcano becoming active again.
