Netflix Collaborates With Microsoft For Streaming Plans

In an effort to entice customers, as per source Netflix will team up with Microsoft to introduce a less expensive subscription package that includes commercials, the companies announced on Wednesday.

When Netflix launches, customers will have more ways to enjoy its acclaimed entertainment. “The Netflix viewership and exclusive linked TV inventory will be accessible to marketers who turn to Microsoft for their marketing requirements“. The only way to access any of the advertisements displayed on Netflix will be through the Windows platform. The announcement made today also supports Microsoft’s strategy for privacy, which is based on safeguarding consumer data.

After adamantly refusing to include advertisements in its video streaming service ever since beginnings 15 years ago, the agreement revealed on Wednesday represents a significant step toward Netflix’s first venture into advertising.

After revealing it had lost 200,000 subscribers in the first three months of the year due to fiercer competition and rising inflation that put pressure on household budgets, management decided the time had come for a less expensive version. Three months later, Netflix announced it would give up its resistance to ads.

It’s still pretty early, and we have a lot to figure out. But our long-term objective is clear. More options for consumers and superior brand experiences for marketers on linear TV. We’re eager to collaborate with Microsoft as we launch this new service.
