Pakistan has selected left-handed batter Shan Masood for the 2022 T20 World Cup. Masood, 32 age, has taken the position of Fakhar Zaman, who will only feature in the reserves owing to a knee injury. The 15-member team includes paceman Shaheen Shah Afridi, who missed the Asia Cup due to a knee injury but is rehabilitating and is expected to resume bowling fitness early next month.
After completing a good recovery, Mohammad Wasim, a seamer who also missed the Asia Cup due to a side strain, will also join the squad. The players like Hasan Ali and Shahnawaz Dahani have been left out.
