According to reports, the city of Lviv in western Ukraine was completely without electricity as a result of massive Russian airstrikes that struck Ukrainian cities nationwide, along with the capital Kyiv, on Wednesday said by the Mayor.
“The entire city is without power. We’re waiting for energy experts to provide more information”. The mayor of the city, Andriy Sadovyi, also further warned that, the city’s water supply might also be affected.
According to officials, on Wednesday, Russian airstrikes also caused damage to the electricity infrastructure in Kyiv, the capital of Ukraine. This was the most latest in a spate of planned strikes that, as the temperature turned colder, caused widespread disruptions.
“The enemy is using missile strikes to assault Kyiv’s essential infrastructure. Keep your shelter in place until the air alert is passed”.
Vitali Klitschko, the mayor of Kiev, wrote on social media that the city’s infrastructure had been harmed. Meanwhile, further in Kyiv’s north and centre reported power shortages too.
