Scotland Shocks And Beats West Indies By 42 Runs In The Ongoing T20 World Cup 2022 Qualifiers

West Indies after winning the toss and electing to bowl first, Scotland openers scored almost scored 60 inside the powerplay after blazing start from openers, but West Indies came back into the picking three quick wickets.

But, it was the opener George Munsey top scored with scoring 66 runs off 53 deliveries not out even though West Indies took 2 to 3 wickets within no time and it was Jason Holder who took 2 wickets and gave away 14 runs in his four overs.

But, George Munsey ensured he stood there till the end and crucial cameos from Macleod 23 runs off 14 balls and Chris Greaves 16 of 11 balls in the end took Scotland to a respectable total of 160 for 5 in their quota of 20 overs.

West Indies Openers started the chase just like Scotland scoring 50 in five overs but once both openers fell, Scotland kept taking wickets and West Indies Middle order batters were outplayed by Scotland bowlers and showing no intent and their Captain Nicholas Pooran too scored only 4 runs with the bat.

And once again it was Jason Holder for West Indies with top scored hitting 38 runs off 33 balls and it was not enough and in the end Scotland bundled out West indies for 118 runs and won by a margin of 42 runs in their opening game in Group B clash.
