According to reports, US Secretary of State Antony Blinken said that Ukrainian forces had made great progress in their counteroffensive against Russian troops, despite the fact that it was still too early to determine the conclusion.
But even so, it is first and foremost due to the extraordinary courage and tenacity of the Ukrainian military services and the Ukrainian people, Blinken stated. “The Ukrainians have made substantial progress which is excellent and no doubts about that and especially in the northeast, and this is because of the support we have given them.
As we’ve seen, the Russians still have a significant army in Ukraine as well as weapons, equipment, and ammunition that they continue to use indiscriminately against not only Ukrainian armed troops but also civilian infrastructure and people.
Ukraine has proclaimed great successes in the northeastern Kharkiv region where it quickly launched a counteroffensive. Significant advancements have also been made in the southern Kherson region.
The president of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, claims that this month, Ukrainian soldiers had recaptured 6,000 square kilometres around 2,320 square miles of Russian land.
